Pre-Kindergarten
Helping children develop positive attitudes about themselves and others by learning about the many gifts, talents, and abilities God has given us.
Our Pre-Kindergarten students:
Appreciate and celebrate God’s love and goodness though Scripture, music, Bible stories, and prayers.
Use manipulative materials and hands-on applications to sort, count, arrange numbers, and learn simple addition.
Practice self-discipline and behaving as a child of God through listening, following directions, sharing, and developing good social interactions.
Learn and use language through conversation, song, finger play, rhyming activities, and more.
Kindergarten
Developing an understanding of their role in the environment and their community through the excitement of learning.
Our Kindergarten students:
Acquire literacy tools, phonemic awareness, phonics fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills for success in reading and writing.
Develop social skills that promote responsibility, service, and knowledge necessary in establishing a strong foundation for future learning.
First Grade
Developing lifelong learners and building positive relationships through collaborative experiences and hands-on learning.
Our 1st grade students:
Develop a personal relationship with God while learning about the Catholic faith.
Utilize phonics and reading comprehension strategies to become confident and excited readers.
Second Grade
Building confidence and independence in learning while growing in faith.
Our 2nd grade students:
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills while developing number facts and number sense.
Practice scientific inquiry through the process of gathering information, conducting investigations, and engaging in STEM activities.
Gain a perspective and appreciation for history, government, geography, economics, and cultures at the local and global level.
Prepare to recognize the True Presence of Jesus through the sacraments of Holy Communion and Reconciliation.
Third Grade
Nurturing strong values in Catholic faith and community while developing independent learners.
Our 3rd grade students:
Explore the life of Jesus through biblical stories and applying His teachings to everyday life.
Understand what it means to be a good citizen of the United States and explore how history impacts our lives today.
Explore interactions of living and non-living things and learn to conduct science experiments with supervision.
Become mathematical thinkers, understand how math can impact our everyday lives, and demonstrate fluency with numbers.
Fourth Grade
Equipping learners with a global mindset to be future leaders who can work together to promote Godly principles.
Our 4th grade students:
Grow in faith through in-depth studies of the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes.
Develop collaborative and science process skills while exploring energy, the structures of living things, and geological processes through hands-on learning opportunities.
Focus on using number sense to learn long division, fractions, decimal operations, numeric expression, geometry, measurement, and graphing.
Fifth Grade
Building mature lifelong learners through collaborative and independent learning opportunities.
Our 5th grade students:
Explore religious vocations and sacraments through participation in Mass and the Diocesan Fifth Grade Vocations Day at Subiaco Abbey.
Delve further into scientific principles and explore design processes and scientific methods through collaborative projects, experiments, and an overnight field trip to Ozark Natural Science Center.
Explore world geography with an emphasis on land, culture, and human-environmental interaction.
Perform a variety of operations involving multi-digit whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with an emphasis on problem solving; analyze patterns and relationships; and write and interpret numerical expressions.
Sixth Grade
Developing strong academic skills and leadership through faith, knowledge, and service.
Our 6th grade students:
Explore ancient civilizations and their contributions around the world.
Develop a deeper understanding of energy and energy transfer, the structure and function of organisms, Earth’s systems, weather and climate, and human activity.
Perform multi-step problems involving prime/composite numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, and variable equations. Understand geometrical concepts, metric/customary conversions, and graphing.
Seventh Grade
Developing strong academic skills in a Christ-centered environment while forming servant leaders and lifelong learners.
Our 7th grade students:
Utilize geography skills in acquiring an understanding of early American history.
Develop a deeper understanding of the structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, interdependent relationships in ecosystems, and the history of Earth.
Grow as effective writers through the analysis of a variety of genres.
Solve equations involving algebraic reasoning with emphasis on graphing, measurement, data analysis, and probability.
Develop a deeper relationship with God through the appreciation and participation in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church with a focus on the Scriptures and God’s inspired word.
Eighth Grade
Developing strong academic skills in a Christ-centered environment while forming servant leaders and lifelong learners.
Our 8th grade students:
Explore American History from 1800-1900 while focusing on social, economic, and political change with an emphasis on Arkansas History.
Explore waves and electromagnetic radiation, forces and interactions, natural selection and adaptions, heredity and genetics, and the interconnections of space systems.
